ChatGPT Provides First Draft for Daily Blog

Chip Conley's AI-Assisted Content Creation Workflow for Daily Blogging
Chip Conley, founder of the Modern Elder Academy, has developed an effective AI-assisted workflow for his daily blog "Wisdom Well" that helps him maintain consistent output even when inspiration is lacking.
The workflow is elegantly simple but powerful. When Chip feels uninspired or is writing outside his creative peak time (which is in the morning), he turns to ChatGPT to generate a first draft. This is particularly valuable when facing deadlines later in the day when his creative energy naturally wanes.
What makes this approach particularly effective is that ChatGPT has now "learned" his writing style and unique sense of humor through repeated interactions. As Chip explains, "The good news is that at this point it knows me well enough and my blogs... it knows my sort of weird sense of humor so it's able to ape me pretty well."
His prompt structure is straightforward. He'll simply request something like: "I need a 250-word post on [topic]" and provide a brief conceptual direction. For example, in a recent post, he prompted: "I believe that there's a refrain that needs to happen with soul. We tend to say like 'I have a soul' or 'I don't have a soul' but what if my soul has me? What if in fact my job is just to be this vehicle for my soul to go to the next lifetime and my job is to be the steward of the soul."
Within 30 seconds, ChatGPT generates a draft that Chip then adapts and refines to match his authentic voice. This workflow allows him to maintain his daily publishing schedule without sacrificing quality or his distinctive perspective.
The key to this approach is viewing AI as a first-draft generator rather than a final product creator. Chip still applies his wisdom, experience, and editorial judgment to shape the content into something that truly represents his thinking.
